Scheduling policy

At Walkmetru, we aim to ensure a seamless and efficient scheduling process for both skill sharers and learners. Our scheduling policy is designed to facilitate clear communication, minimize conflicts, and provide flexibility for all parties involved. Here’s how it works:

Availability: Skill sharers set their availability on the platform, typically within days or weeks. Learners can view the available time slots and book sessions accordingly. The first session of a class is always booked on the skill sharer’s calendar before payment is made.

Preferences and Restrictions: Skill sharers have the flexibility to specify their scheduling preferences or restrictions, such as preferred timing or session duration. Learners are required to book slots within the available time frames provided by the skill sharer.

Booking Window: Learners can book sessions with skill sharers up to a month in advance. There are no specific limitations on the number of sessions a learner can book within a certain time period, as this may vary based on the agreement with the skill sharer.

Coordination: Our platform provides a centralized scheduling system where skill sharers and learners can easily coordinate and communicate to resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues. Learners can view skill sharers’ availability and book sessions directly through the platform.

Communication: Session availability is communicated to learners through the platform’s calendar booking system. Any updates or changes to availability are reflected in real-time, ensuring transparency and clarity for both parties.

Penalties and Cancellations: While we understand that emergencies may arise, skill sharers are expected to honor scheduled sessions or provide sufficient notice for cancellations. Skill sharers with a high frequency of cancellations may be subject to investigation and potential consequences.

Rescheduling: In cases where rescheduling is necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, provisions are in place to accommodate such changes. Both skill sharers and learners are encouraged to communicate and agree on new session timings promptly.

Support and Resources: Our team is available to provide assistance and support with any scheduling-related issues or challenges that may arise. The internal booking system is designed to streamline the scheduling process and ensure a positive experience for all users.

By adhering to our scheduling policy, we aim to create a conducive environment for learning and skill sharing, where both skill sharers and learners can effectively manage their schedules and make the most out of their interactions on the platform.

Pricing policy

At Walkmetru, we empower skill sharers to determine the prices for their classes or sessions based on their unique expertise and the value they offer to learners. While we provide the platform for connection, it’s important for skill sharers to consider what is reasonable and competitive when setting their prices.

Guidelines for Pricing:

  • Freedom to Set Prices: Skill sharers have the freedom to set prices that reflect their level of experience, skills, and the value of the knowledge they provide.
  • Truthfulness and Reasonableness: We encourage skill sharers to be truthful and reasonable in their pricing decisions, ensuring that the prices align with the quality and expertise they offer.
  • Price Adjustments: Skill sharers are allowed to adjust their prices over time to adapt to changing circumstances or market conditions. They can easily edit and update their prices as they see fit.
  • Minimum and Maximum Prices: While we do not impose a maximum price limit, we require that the minimum price for classes or sessions be set at $1 to ensure accessibility for learners.

Additional Considerations:

  • Transparency: Skill sharers are encouraged to provide transparency about their skills and the content of their classes. This includes accurately outlining what learners can expect to gain from participating in the class.
  • Payment Process: Learners are required to make payments before booking their first session of a class, ensuring a commitment to the learning experience.
  • Advice for Skill Sharers: We advise all skill sharers to be truthful in presenting their skills and to create class content that aligns with their expertise. It’s essential for skill sharers to accurately represent what they can teach and what learners can expect to learn.
  • Contact Information: For any questions or concerns regarding our pricing policy, please contact us at policy@walkmetru.com.

By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to foster a fair and transparent pricing environment that benefits both skill sharers and learners on the Walkmetru platform.

Payment Processing:

  • Skill Sharer Compensation: When students book classes or sessions on our platform, payments are processed through our secure payment gateway, such as Stripe or other platforms we utilize. Funds are held by Walkmetru until the completion of the class, at which point the skill sharer is compensated.
  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, PayPal, and other secure payment options.
  • Transaction Fees: There are no transaction fees associated with using our payment methods. However, taxes may be applied based on the student’s location and applicable laws.

  • Dispute Resolution: In cases of disputes, we strive to provide fair and prompt resolutions. If it is found that a skill sharer misrepresented their experience or the quality of their class, they may not be compensated, and the student will receive a refund.
  • Fair Evaluation: Refunds are not automatic and are subject to investigation to ensure fairness. Students are encouraged to provide detailed feedback to support their claims.

Verification and Truthfulness:

  • Skill Sharer Responsibility: We expect skill sharers to be truthful in presenting their expertise and the content of their classes. Misrepresentation of skills or class quality may result in penalties, including non-compensation for classes.
  • Student Assurance: To ensure transparency, we encourage students to thoroughly review skill sharers’ profiles, course content, and syllabi before booking. Additionally, students can communicate directly with skill sharers to confirm their expertise.

Student Rights and Disputes:
